High Schools
Wortley High School and West Leeds High School are merging to form one new school that will be housed in a brand new PFI built school. The building work starts in February 2008 and will be completed by 2010.
Intake High School has a planned rebuild and wants to develop its specialist arts status.
City of Leeds/Primrose High School is looking at strategies for improving the attendance of its pupils which is currently a high priority for the school if it is to achieve its attainment levels.
We want these schools to be schools of excellence that will raise the attainment levels of their pupils and become some of the high achieving schools in the city.
Business involvement in schools can be as varied as mentoring individual pupils, joining boards of school governors, taking part in school curriculum activities and offering work placements and work taster opportunities.
