  • On Wednesday 18th June BITC held their Big Tick event at Leeds United Conference Centre to recognise and reward companies from across the region for their positive impact on society through their commitment to corporate responsibility.

    The Big Tick is awarded to businesses able to demonstrate significant impact and high quality management of their responsible business practices and who can show a positive impact both on society and on the business.

    Leeds Ahead is delighted that two of its members received awards on the evening:

    Premier Farnell received the Yorkshire and Humber Environment Leaders Group Climate Change Awards, sponsored by Carbon Action Yorkshire for Long Term Improvement.

    Pinsent Masons were reaccredited with the Bank of America Merrill Lynch Education Award supported by the Department forĀ Children, Schools and FamiliesĀ - which recognises company community programmes that raise the achievement of young people through building sustainable partnerships with schools to the benefit of pupils aged 5-19 years in the UK, for their extensive programme with Cockburn College of Arts.
