On 17th December 2008 John Newton of Yorkshire Bank met with Hillary Britton of the West Leeds Specialist Inclusive Learning Centre (SILC). The SILC works with children with a variety of physical and mental disabilities to maximise their potential.

The meeting establised a business mentor relationship with John agreeing to work alongside Hilary over a period of time to progress the aims of the SILC. This will include the development of work-placements and help with marketing and fundraising strategies.
