Claire Carvis, Debra Harding and Sarah Prideaux from East North East Homes have been providing further support to their local community. They all spent a day at John Smeaton Community College helping Year 10 pupils prepare for Work Experience. Each volunteer supported a team of 8 students as they looked at what makes an ideal employee, and what key skills and attributes employers are looking for. The afternoon was spent setting up a business and workforce producing CD covers, to highlight the importance of team work in the workplace.
East North East Homes have a full schedule of community engagement, and as well as supporting a number of voluntary organisations will be providing literacy and personal mentors in schools in East Leeds.
