Volunteers from West North West Homes spent a day at Hawksworth Wood Primary School, located on the Hawksworth estate, which opened its doors to volunteers to run a World of Work day for pupils in years 5 and 6.
The day gave children a chance to interact with people from business and find out where they work and how they earn a living. The volunteers worked hard to show pupils the connection between the skills they learn at school and their future careers.
Deputy Head Teacher Chris Dyson said of the day that "It has planted the seed of dreams...... it has given positive role models and aspirations for the children to follow. It allowed the children to set their own career path. It was brilliant and well worth while. "
