  • Members of staff from Aire Valley Homes Leeds and Connaught 'teamed up' for a day to support homeless young people in South Leeds. Armed with paint brushes,paint and a lot of energy the team helped to refurbish a home for homeless young people cared for by 'The Young People's Project', part of Leeds Housing Concern.

    The team worked together to paint the house in a day and in addition Connaught installed some double - glazed windows. Anand,from Leeds Housing Concern, said “It is really appreciated that businesses took time out to assist with our project. The girls(who live in the house) loved it and they really feel someone cares. It was a great day.”

    Anand also reported that as a result of the work undertaken, Leeds Housing Federation who own the property, have donated money to provide a Christmas lunch for all the residents of 'The Young People's Project' at Leeds Housing Concern.
